Visit to the BTA Show in Sheffield

Mark, Elaine and me made the trip up the M1 for the Bonsai Traders Association Show at Sheffield’s Don Valley Stadium.  (Thanks for the lift guys)

There was the usual display of stunning trees and club displays from a number of bonsai clubs, all presented to a great standard.

The traders hall had loads of stands with bargains from some of the best of British bonsai traders and potters.

Rob and Malcolm from Newcastle did a styling demo on a stunning yamadori pine and Corin worked his magic on a 100 year old Buxus.

Finally some of the trees that had won awards from the show judges.

Larch - Planted on rock with an underplanting of moss, heather, alpine strawberry and ferns.

Stunning windswept Chinese Elm - the photo does not do the tree justice. One of the best windswept trees I have ever seen.

Japanese Larch and Heavy trunk Trident Maple
